What changed
The NabuOS console no longer takes only text files and PDFs. Drop a picture (PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF) up to 12 MB or a video (such as MP4) up to 18 MB anywhere on the page, pick it with the "Attach a file" button beside the message box, or paste it from the clipboard — the same paths a document already took.
Every picture that lands is read by the vision model on the spot (as before) and its words ride your message to the assistant. No model here can watch a video yet; instead the assistant is told plainly that a video with that name was attached, and asks you about it when the answer depends on its content — a clip no longer disappears silently.
How to use it
- In any console thread, drag the file onto the page, or press the "Attach a file" button.
- Until you send, the attachment chip shows a picture's thumbnail or a clip's length; ✕ takes it back.
- After sending, the message's attachment chip keeps the preview and the length.
Good to know
- Ceilings: pictures 12 MB, videos 18 MB, text and PDF still 15 MB. A file over its kind's ceiling is refused on the spot with a plain message.
- The kind is read from the file's content, not its extension — renaming a file changes nothing, and a kind no reader takes (an executable, say) is refused as before.
- The thumbnail and the video length are read by your own browser from the file on your device; no byte is uploaded just for a preview.
- The server's whole-request body ceiling is 20 MB; a heavier file never reaches the app at all.
